Talking to the Rising Sun !!

.. a crazy topic to write on !!!  but that's what a close bud blogged somewhere.. Hence I thought of giving it a try. On this Sunday morning, I fired the 1600 cc of my new possession and zoomed off on outer ring road... destination unknown.

The drive was absolute delight.. 'ek dum makhhan'. The atmosphere was so awesome; I slid the window glass and let the cool morning breeze maneuver through my hair. I steered left and parked myself on the adjoining un-metaled surface; facing east I mounted on the hood, waiting for the Sun to show up.

Chirping of birds interposed by an occasional, smoke squalling truck, kept me busy and thinking... "what do I talk to the Sun?", "do I ask question for which I would never get answers?", or "I ask and pretend that I have been answered, manipulating the answer before it reaches my Grey cells!!". "How do I initiate a dialogue, what topic, cause I am too bad at spiritualism, meditation, yoga, etc.!!!"

As I was struggling with the perfect questionnaire, the first ray struck my retina. A grand spread of orange, yellow and red; such an amazing sight!! I bet, neither of the colors were on Winsor and Newton catalog.. I kept gazing...jaw dropped.. for a long long time. I forgot to talk till it was well above horizon.

I started straight, "I have seen you since I was a child, I have read about your origin, composition, properties, mythology etc., good to see you again."! There was something different in this meeting, I was here to talk!! "Aren't you bugged with the same routine for millions of years now?", "What fun do you get in this routine?", "How's your typical day?" There was no answer...and I wasn't expecting one either. Even it had none, as it was born out of 'Big bang'...

As I poured hot coffee, from the hot pack I carried, I remembered the story I read some where -

Sun had 2 wives!! - 'Chhaya' & 'Sanjana'. 'Manu', 'Yama', and 'Yamuna' were born off 'Sanjana'.  BTW he also had an illegitimate son ' Karna' from Kunti (the mother of Pandavas)..

- as I finished with my coffee I steered back home, I thought - Sun himself has so much to take care and look after on his personal front, he would in no way take out time to answer me !!

.. satisfied with my logic I gave myself... I smiled and continued zooming...
