… as other mortals… I too fancy a beautiful… a boundless, blissful life, but it with an AN, it becomes an adorable, an ambitious and an affectionate life…
Life can be a charming… a cheerful… a dynamic and a delightful spectacle, but I strive to lead an Elegant… an Excellent… an Exclusive and an Encouraging manifestation …
It can be a Fabulous… a Graceful… a Hilarious experience… but an Incredible, an Impartial and an Instinctive occurrence… is what I wish…
… it looks a Mature.. a Magnificent voyage ….but I want to make it an Outstanding…an Open… and an Optimistic journey…
… with all my friends it is a Spectacular… a Splendid… a Super ride… but it is my hearty aspiration to experience an Ultimate… an Unbelievable… and an Unusual flight…
… AN is better than A alone…. and I am not alone here… I have SAP support...
thought, mind, heart, feelings, emotion, sentiment, love, affection, desire, wish, hope, imagination, experience...

UN Climate Change Conference …Copenhagen 2009
Is the World getting warmer? A large majority of them says yes. The average global temperature increase by 0.74 degree centigrade in 20th century. It rose by 0.60 degrees last century!!
Climate always change, temperatures have risen and fallen through out our earths history. Changes in Earths orbit, Suns intensity, numerous volcanic eruptions, etc have caused changes in temperature.
Mankind is being blamed for Global warming, coz earths orbit change will take us to cooler areas, not hot. Solar cycles are stable since 1960. Warmth of the last century is unprecedented in last 1200 years. As per climatologist ‘human activity is the most likely cause of the recent warming’. Burning of fossil fuel being the biggest reason.
Greenhouse Effect – Our Earth is kept warm, (and thus life sustainable for life) by a blanket of gases. Without these Greenhouse gases to trap the heat from the sun, the world would be a much-much cooler place to live…to survive in fact. CO2 being the most important, followed by methane and water vapour.
Overall Effect – Burning of coal, oil and gases since Industrial Revolution has released CO2 that has been locked away in the atmosphere for millions of years now. These higher levels of CO2 have enhanced the Greenhouse effect.
The evidence for this comes from he study of deep ice cores, which have bubbles of prehistoric air trapped in ice. The concentration of CO2 has gone up over last 150 years, from 270 ppm (parts per million), it has risen to 370 ppm today. The highest level ever in last 6,50,000 years !!
The Future – the UN climate council have predicted based on various models a rise in temperature between 1.1 degree C & 6.4 degree C by end of this century… alarming indeed!!
Evidence of Global warning – No single event can be linked to climate change. hurricane Katrina, droughts in Australia, melting snow caps of Mt. Kilimanjaro are not necessarily caused by climate change.
COP15 agenda – it’s the largest UN climate change conference in history. Two week long conference, the mood is upbeat after a series of promises by rich and developing economies to curb their greenhouse gases.
This gets serious as the organizers have warned participating diplomats that this could be a last chance for a deal to protect our world from global warming.
Now look at this CRAP –
- 140 aircraft will be used to fly 100 world leaders to Copenhagen.
- £ 6.375 million is the cost of flying 15000 delegates from 192 countries.
- 900 miles of computer cables have been laid for the 12 day conference.
- 41,000 tons of CO2 will be generated by delegates traveling to Copenhagen.
- £ 130 million total estimated cost of the conference.
..my wish..let us wake up and do our bit, the Reality .. our children will question us...

..encounters with your past..
….every human is in constant dialogue with his past at some time or the other… an almost faded incidence, those precious moments lived, many an emotions, pains undergone, remembering his bygone is what every human loves…
… a casual closing of our eyes drifts us to our past… those unforgettable moments, incidences do a sequential action reply. We find ourselves in front of these cherished moments… immersed and lost…
…do you remember that secretly written name on the wooden table in the class room, the movie seen by bunking the extra class, gift bought for a special friend, that first bike ride with a special someone, living moments by telling a small lie, pressing a rose flower to dry in your note book, writing shayaris on the last page of your notebook, planning your not-yet-received pocket money, and the list goes on…

Self realization…
..
I have tried to be a good person all my life… this does not mean I am not bad. I have a bad part too… but that I will disclose some other day. I hated people who would smoke. I was too young to understand what fun people get by drinking a pale brown fluid, glass after glass. That was liquor of course…
… being born to an Army officer, these things were around me since the time I actually realized their ill effects, though my dad was a teetotaler.. and he still is.
..Dad’s postings took us to placed across India. Travel was an integral part of my life, and each new place offering its distinct food platter to me. Slowly and slowly, I became a real connoisseur of food.
… graduation, post graduation, first ‘good’ job, love, marriage.. all these major frontiers of life were conquered by God’s grace and good luck. I didn’t even realize that I, the self crowned connoisseur of food, have picked up on smoking and occasional drinking...
No one objected ‘coz may be I was not too high on the numbers. Five to Six cigarettes a day, and a few pegs of Whisky once a month was how it went.
One day… my son saw me smoking, ‘Daddy, tu mar jayega yaar!!!’ was his reaction. I did not give a heed to his remarks, but was red in shame from within. I never ever smoked in his presence. But some where inside, his words trembled me. Not that HE said so, what will happen if I DIE!!!
I wanted to live… not for me, but for few great souls who walk this earth, without whom life would be unimaginable….but here I was trying to imagine their lives minus me!! Difficult to think and describe, but the thought that I wont be able to meet and see them... broke me down…
..time flew… one day I did a retrospection. I wised, tried to do, all good for my family, friends and loved ones (these do not fall under any category, they are in my heart, simple) …. but in doing so, did injustice to my own life. They say each cigarette reduces your life by x minutes. If that’s true, I have already lost many valuable minutes…. hours… days in fact.
… a week back, I decided to get those lost minutes back… so that I stay a shade longer with those I love… cut down on cigarette, alcohol is anyways not available, healthy food, walk, jog and meditation… this is my listing of the sincere effort I am putting, to redeem my life’s lost minutes…
… for the first time, I am competing myself … and I am very-very nervous … as I am good at handling competition… but this time I want to loose and loose to gain the lost minutes…
..my wish… I will keep up the hard work…the reality…six days and I am still on target…
… there will be no looking back, it’s my commitment to myself…
